Sullom Voe trial support from bp & EnQuest

We’ve just returned from a really successful site trial at a UK land site with the support of bp and EnQuest.

This allowed us to test our tooling on new materials, longer lengths and complexity and the results were fantastic to help us in the creation of our next tooling.

Too easy to get wrong

  • Documentation is often outdated or missing
  • Access is often restricted, with lines being routed through bulkheads, under decks or gratings and in locations that make them difficult to trace and confirm
  • Experienced personnel are leaving the industry. Necessary expertise is not always available which increases the risk of human error
  • Pipework of same size, material and visual condition is easy to misidentify
  • As-Build work is not budgeted for or is neglected
  • Many surveys are repeated un-necessarily
  • Incomplete digital record of infrastructure on assets for visibility
  • Processes are seldom standardised and require simplifying to achieve accurate and consistent results
  • There is a real desire to reduce carbon emissions and existing processes will not achieve this
